· Our First Beagle finished at under 2 years of age, completely owner handled.  Finished at the Clackamas Kennel Club show on June 25, 1994 with a 5 Point Major

· Received a Group Placement at the Camellia Capital Kennel Club Dog Show

Kasey was the dog that started Kountry beagles.  We purchased her in 1992 from Carolyn Vance in Minnesota.  We contacted Carolyn after falling in love with a photo of her male Ch. Chardon Obstrusive OJ in a dog magazine.

We waited almost 2 years from the time we first contacted Carolyn until we finally had a puppy in our hands, and it has been nothing but fun ever since.  As Kasey was our first beagle we were thrilled when we were able to owner handle her to her championship.  She finished with a 5 point major under Dr. William S. Houpt, who also went on to award her a group placement a few weekends later.

Kasey then moved on to the whelping box where she a also very successful producer.  Although most of her puppies were placed in pet homes the few that we chose to exhibit finished their championships quickly and Ch. Kountry’s White Lightnin’ went on to be a nationally ranked special.

Without this feisty little puppy Kountry Beagles would not exist today………..
